Cut each avocado in half lengthwise and remove the seed with your hand. Scoop out the avocado flesh with a spoon into a small bowl. Mash with a fork.
Stir in garlic cloves, lime juice, and sea salt. Optionally, add cumin and white onion. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Notes
If you have the time, let the guacamole rest for 30 minutes after mixing to develop flavor.For the best flavor, serve it at room temperature.
Store leftover guacamole in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap beneath the container cover to prevent oxidation.
Add ground cumin, diced red or white onion, black pepper, or cilantro to your guacamole if desired.
