How to make Cashew Cream

Cashews are rich in fiber, protein, and heart-healthy fats while low in sugar. In addition, they are a good source of copper, magnesium, and manganese. 

Making cashew cream is one my favorite ways to enjoy cashews. I love adding it to pasta sauces. Enjoy!



Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! Cashew cream is super creamy and is a wonderful replacement for dairy cream in many recipes.

1 cup cashew pieces Water for soaking cashews and blending them

Pour 2 cups hot water over cashew pieces in a medium bowl. Let rest for  at least 2 hours on counter. 

Step 1

Drain cashew pieces in a colander and then rinse the cashews with fresh water before placing them in a blender.

Step 2

Place drained cashews and ¾ cup water in  high speed blender. Start at low speed and increase to highest speed.  Blend for 90 seconds.

Step 3

Pour the cashew cream into airtight containers, scraping the sides of the blender, and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
