How to make a TAMARIND  MARGARITA 

This unique  cocktail is made with tamarind paste, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup.  I was inspired to create this recipe after trying a similar cocktail in Costa Rica!

RESPLENDENT KITCHEN

–Tajin Seasoning – Himalayan pink salt – Lime  – Tamarind Syrup – Blanco tequila – Triple sec  – Agave syrup  – Ice cubes

Ingredients

– Small saucepan – Whisk – Glasses – Chef's knife – Cutting board – Cocktail shaker

Equipment

- Combine tamarind paste and water in a pot and bring to a boil, stirring with a whisk.  - Turn off  heat, cover, and let sit for 30 minutes.

Make tamarind syrup

- Stir and strain the mixture into a bowl, discarding any solids.  - Let cool to room temperature.

Strain the tamarind syrup

-Mix Tajin Seasoning with the  salt on a small plate.  - Run the edge of a lime against the edges of the glasses. 

Make the Spicy salt

-Press the edges of the glasses into the Tajin and salt mixture, and refrigerate the glasses.

Salt the glass rims

-Combine the tamarind syrup, Blanco tequila, triple sec, maple syrup, and ice cubes in a cocktail shaker.

Make the tamarind margarita
